I am working on getting the next exhibition at MerseyBio underway, with artist Desdemona McCannon's latest work based on illustrations of Victorian microscopic images.
Desdemona has a 1st class degree in English Literature, & 1st class degree in Graphic Design & Illustration. After working as an illustrator for five years, she studied for an M.A. in ‘Sequential Illustration & Design’ in Brighton. She has worked as a children’s book illustrator most notably with Bloomsbury Children’s books. She taught Graphic Design at Wirral Met until the opportunity came up to work in Tokyo where she designed characters & illustrated for international clients.
Des has exhibited several times with the Oxton Artists in the Oxton Art Fair at the Williamson Art Gallery (see my other blog for more info).
