Busy doing job

I am Art Liaison Officer for MerseyBio, on the University of Liverpool's campus and tomorrow is our busy day, the hanging and opening of the new show. This is the first show we have had where I don't know the people who are exhibiting and I have combined two artists together who do not know each other but work on a similar theme but in a different way. It will be interesting to see how they compliment each other.

On a different note, my tender to do the pins for the Green Ambassadors for the Year of the Environment in Liverpool is not a go-er so I don't have to make 250 brooches but it has been an interesting learning curve.

This week, also saw the opening for the artwork produced during the Red Dot week of "how to" workshops for people with mental and physical difficulties, all had done wonderful work. Just a small little show of work, I hope all the participants get to see the work made as they were unable to attend the opening because it is hard for day centres to arrange visits of an evening. Exhibition is at LCAD and runs from 15 July until 24 July. LCAD is based on Brownlow Hill.

The workshops included an introduction to painting, photography, mosaics, drawing, animation, collage, sculpture and jewellery.

Opening hours of the exhibition are Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm.
