Next With These Hands meeting and discussion about Empty Shop Fund

More info
In the light of our huge success with the de-junk, re-junk exhibition, I thought we should celebrate our achievement and move forward. So at this meeting, we will talk about the previous show and discuss the possibility of applying for The Empty Shop fund with the support of an organisational partner. They are interested in a shop which would combine needs of the community and the artistic community of wirral with local produce, cafe and sales potential. But it will need a lot of work and volunteers as well as people to stock their work there. So this meeting will discuss location, feasibilty and needs of our group and whether this is something we can go forward with as a group. It is not something I am interested in doing alone or even having the major role as I have other projects simmering to do with de-junk, re-junk and the Welly boot project (which I have been successful in getting part funding for).

The meeting at this time will be on 1pm wednesday 31st of August and will be at the St James Centre in the north end of Birkenhead, with Birkenhead North being the closest station, there are buses that stop near there and there is a carpark at the rear of establishment. There is a cafe which is very reasonably priced and I would encourage you to purchase your lunch or goodies, coffee etc there to support the centre. There will be a donation of £1 required to pay for the room.

The address of the centre is

North Birkenhead Development Trust,

St James Centre, 344 Laird St, Birkenhead, WIRRAL, CH41 7AL
