Margi's contribution for the de-junk, re-junk show

18th to 31st July in Birkenhead Park Visitors Centre

Title: Cardiac Cycle

Medium: Recycled ceramic plates, wall tiles & bicycle chain

Size: 50.5cm x 40.5cm

Price: £220

Description: Cardiac Cycle has been created using broken plates donated by family & friends, wall tiles left over from my colleague's bathroom re-fit & a rusty bicycle chain from Alison Bailey Smith. The backboard is a discarded photograph box mounting from the picture framers where I work. The only purchased items are the adhesive, grout & picture cord.

Biography: Margi Adams is a mosaic artist & jewellery designer who has been creating decorative & wearable art for over 20 years. Her fascination with these two apparently diverse disciplines is connected by the creation of a single finished artwork from much smaller individual elements.

Margi graduated with an honours degree in Art History in 2003 in which she focused on Public Art & Mosaic Art. Not long after this she established Explore Designs as the collective title for her own unique work.
