Your art fair needs you ....if you are 14 to 16

Oxton Art Fair needs young people aged 14 to 16 to enter Ken Peacock’s art prize at the Williamson from 10 to 2pm
tomorrow.The art prize is open to children who produce an artwork in the gallery. Paper, pencils & inspiration provided. Categories are 5-8, 9 -13 & 14-16. At the moment, loads of contenders for the younger categories but none for the older ones.Prize for the one judged in each category to be the best. £ independent judges and prize ceremony will be at 3.30pm.

Please pass this on to anyone with teenagers and we hope to see you at the show...we had about 500 in today and 350 at the opening last night.

Tomorrow there will also be a workshop for under fives with Daisy Dawes, local author and former modelmaker (she worked on the first Harry Potter) 10.30 to 11.30, poetry reading from Eleanor Rees at 2pm, Music from 2.45 til 3.30 and then the prize ceremony, with the preceedings ending at 4pm.

There will be cafe from Green Eats and The Green Community shop and centre will be doing teas and coffees and chocolate, advent calendars...
