Ruth Ball at Mersey Bio

As my new role as Art Liaison officer for 2Bio, I am very proud to have an exhibition of Ruth Ball's enamels and collages in the incubator in Liverpool until early in February. Sadly, it is not a public exhibition but hopefully, the people who are able to see Ruth's work will appreciate as I do, the detail and skill involved in creating each piece. She has provided explanatory cards with step by step stages in the process to make it clear what she does to achieve the end results. This is the third exhibition we have had in the building on Crown Street in Liverpool. The first was called "Liverpool Scenes" and was a three person show with photographers Alan Chape and Michael Burns and watercolour artist Chris Millichamp, this was followed by a two person show with Claire McCarthy's vibrant watercolours and Sebastian Cowden's calm photographs of Mersyside. The next show will be work by Desdemona McCannon who is working using images of 19th Century Petri dishes and transfering them onto tiles.

I am very happy to hear from any local artists who want an opportunity to exhibit their work. We have wall space for up to 11 pieces and a large showcase for smaller works.
